There’s something so simple and sacred about making an herbal infusion. It’s not just about hydration — it’s about soaking in nourishment. Literally.
This is one of my favorite ways to support skin from the inside out, especially when I’m feeling a little dry, depleted, or like my water intake just isn’t cutting it. Because here’s the truth: real hydration doesn’t come from chugging water — it comes from your body being able to absorb and hold onto that water.
That’s where herbs come in.
This overnight infusion is packed with mineral-rich, skin-loving plants that hydrate on a cellular level, support your nervous system, and help your skin look and feel more alive, bouncy, and nourished.
🌿 What Is an Herbal Infusion (and Why It’s Magical)?
An herbal infusion is like herbal tea — but stronger, deeper, and more nourishing. Instead of steeping herbs for just a few minutes, you let them sit for hours — usually overnight — so that the minerals, mucilage, and phytonutrients have time to fully extract into the water. This longer steep draws out the essence of the herbs, creating a mineral-rich, deeply hydrating drink that your body actually knows what to do with.
There’s something so magical about letting the herbs infuse while you sleep — it’s slow medicine, rich in intention. You’re not just drinking water. You’re drinking the plant’s wisdom, the nourishment of earth, and a kind of hydration that feeds you from the inside out.
🌿 What’s Inside + Why It Works

Nettle – rich in silica, calcium, and iron; supports skin structure and whole-body mineral balance.

Linden Leaf – soothing to both the nervous system and the skin; gently calming and hydrating. A true hug in a mug

Alfalfa – packed with trace minerals, especially skin-repairing nutrients like vitamin K and chlorophyll.

Marshmallow Root – a demulcent herb that coats and calms; deeply hydrating and supportive to dry, dull skin.

Rosehips – loaded with vitamin C and antioxidants to support collagen and glow.
🌸 How to Make It
Ingredients (use parts to customize your batch):

1 part nettle

1 part linden leaf

½ part alfalfa

½ part marshmallow root

¼ part rosehips
Instructions:

Combine the herbs in a jar or airtight container using the parts listed above. (Example: 1 cup nettle, ½ cup alfalfa, ½ cup marshmallow root, ¼ cup rosehips, 1 cup linden leaf.)

Measure out your tea: Add 1 tablespoon of the blend per 1 cup of water.

Add just-under-boiling water over the herbs in a heatproof jar or French press.

Cover and steep overnight (8–12 hours) at room temp.

Optional: gently warm before drinking — just don’t boil.
