Beauty is an energy.  

I believe that devotion to self, to daily rituals, the greater ecosystem, and to Life is what creates this energy. And when we live from that place, beauty isn’t something we have to chase, or preserve. It becomes the natural consequence.

I’m Emily, a holistic esthetician and herbalist, and Stratum is my apothecary for women who want to care for themselves in a way that feels sacred and alive.

Beauty often gets flattened into something shallow.

As a longtime esthetician, it took me years to untangle from the belief that beauty is a commodity to buy.  

But the deeper I went, the more I realized beauty isn’t the skin deep story that I originally believed. 

Real beauty isn’t created in a lab. It is shaped by how we live, how we rest, our emotional landscape, and the way we tend to ourselves day in and day out.

Herbalism opened a new doorway for me. It has taught me an entirely new way to reconnect to my body, the earth, and to beauty as something sacred.
It taught me that true wellness is not just about treating symptoms. It’s about coming home to ourselves.

To me, true holistic care doesn’t just mean swapping synthetic for “natural.”
It means honoring the whole: the physical, emotional, energetic, and environmental layers of health and beauty.

It’s rewilding.
It’s remembering.
It’s taking your power back from the noise and the marketing and returning to something older, truer, and more alive.
