Face Cupping: The Espresso Shot of My Skincare Routine

Face Cupping: The Espresso Shot of My Skincare Routine

Posted by Stratum Aesthetics on

Think of face cupping as a perfectly pulled espresso: elegant, refined, and delivers maximum impact in minimal time.

I love to reach for my face cups when I want my skin to look noticeably refreshed. This simple, single tool can accomplish what a dozen products and gadgets promise in just a few minutes. (I know this sounds like a late night info-mercial but I’m being serious).

Just a few passes with the face cups make me look rested as if I just arrived home from a vacation, this is not a look you can just fake with makeup.

What does it do though?

The gentle suction wakes up circulation, bringing a healthy flush of blood flow to the skin. This mild stimulation can cause the skin’s outermost layer (the stratum corneum) to become slightly more permeable, kind of like how a warm compress does this too! This means the products you apply after are going to penetrate more effectively and work harder.

Insider’s tip: choose a rich, cushiony oil so the cups glide without tugging. It makes the whole experience smoother and more effective. (plus this is how you prevent cupping marks, so oil is a non-negotiable here!)

Over time, cupping refines skin texture so you can exfoliate less, hydrates from the inside out by supporting lymphatic movement, and even helps soften the look of fine lines and wrinkles.

It’s a natural way to encourage the skin to renew itself without applying harsh scrubs or peels. It’s renewal that actually supports your skin without damage, and if you’re new here… that’s how we like it.

I reach for it when I want visible lift, de-puff, and glow in under five minutes, which is why it’s a core part of my live virtual face massage workshop.

It’s a perfect choice for quick, beautiful and impactful results.

This fall, I’m bringing back my six-week online facial massage series, where you can learn cupping (and much more) with real-time guidance in a group setting.
