What to Expect

BOOKING


Stratum Aesthetics requires a credit card to be entered upon booking.  This will not be charged when you book, you may pay at the time of service.  Please be aware that because you are reserving this special space just for you, there is a 24 hour cancellation policy.  If you must cancel within 24 hours, 50% of the service charge will be charged.  In the event of a no-call no-show, 100% of the service fee will be charged. BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT

Please avoid aggressive at home treatments such as exfoliation, waxing, etc for at least 72 hours before your service
You will receive an email at the address that is associated with your online profile with Schedulicity. This email will include policies regarding COVID, directions, and intake form links.  Please read this email prior to your appointment. 
There is an intake form for new clients, and an intake form for returning clients.  It is best to fill this out ahead of time so that it does not impede on your appointment time. 
When you arrive to your appointment, there is a parking space for you.  It is labeled STRATUM AESTHETICS.  If you prefer to park on the street, you are welcome to, but please do not park in another parking space as these belong to the employees of the surrounding businesses and your car may get tickited or towed. 
Please arrive just a few minutes prior to the beginning of your appointment so that you can get settled and comfortable.

Please be aware that there is a dog on staff at Stratum Aesthetics, she is here to assist you on your healing journey. Daisy Fuentes, a senior great dane-lab mix   sleeps in the corner of my office during treatment. If this is a problem for you for any reason, whether you do not feel comfortable around dogs, are allergic, or if you have a service dog who you will be bringing, please email or text us at (720) 316-7785 to notify us of this as soon as possible prior to your appointment.

DURING YOUR TREATMENT

Masks are not required during your treatment.  If you would like one, we do have disposable masks that only cover the mouth and nose, the facial would be adjusted to work around this type of mask.  Emily will continue to wear a mask during all treatments for the foreseeable future.
You will be invited to remove your shoes, and change into a spa wrap which is a cloth wrap that wraps below the underarms and secures at the chest.  This is optional for your comfort and to avoid getting water or products on your clothes. You can undress to your comfort level you will be under the blankets which are new and fresh for each guest.  Emily  will step out of the room for you to get comfortable and I will return to begin the treatment.  
We encourage you to secure your phone away to enjoy time away from your device. 
Photos are taken with written consent before and after treatments to keep in your file and track your progress.  
At the beginning of your treatment Emily will ask you if you prefer quiet time to relax or to receive education and explanation of the products and process of the treatment and your skin.  
Your treatment will begin with guided pranayama breath-work.  You are welcome to follow this guide if it feels good, but you are also invited to just listen and continue with you natural breathing pattern.  We always encourage you to listen to the innate wisdom of your body and do what feels best for you!
Everyone relaxes in a different way, some prefer to sleep, some prefer to chat, both are the correct way to enjoy your facial. 

AFTER YOUR TREATMENT

Upon completion, Emily will step out to allow you to dress, as soon as you open the door she will return to speak with you about any recommended products . There is never any pressure to purchase products, what you do at home everyday is going to have a much bigger impact on your skin than what we do when we are together once a month or once a quarter, so products may be part of achieving the skincare goals put in place at the beginning of the treatment.  
We do not charge the credit card you have on file, you can present your preferred form of payment at the end.  We accept credit card, cash, or venmo. 
You are welcome to rebook your next appointment at the time of your appointment to be sure that you get your desired time slot.  
After your service, please avoid exfoliation and other aggressive skin treatments for at least 72 hours unless otherwise advised different post care instructions.
